Sicily, today. Arturo is a nearly infallible real estate agent at work, far less successful in his romantic life. He lives alone, somewhat disillusioned, and nurtures one unwavering passion: desserts. His life lights up when he meets what is undoubtedly his soulmate. Flora is perfect: beautiful, funny, kind, brilliant… and she’s a pastry chef. An immediate and overwhelming love blossoms between them.
What stands in their way, however, is an invisible yet powerful presence: God. Flora is a devout Catholic, while Arturo stopped believing as a child. Determined not to lose the woman of his life, he pretends to be a believer and embarks on a romantic and spiritual journey that will force him to confront faith and truth.
This time, though, he is not alone: accompanying him is a truly unexpected accomplice — the Pope.
